The Institute of Cell Biology and Neurobiology is currently jointly headed by acting director Prof. Dr. Victor Tarabykin. It conducts basic research in two main areas - Cell Biology and Neurobiology, as well as Molecular Biology - and takes part in the Center for Anatomy's teaching activities.
