As one of the three institutes at the Center for Anatomy, the Institute for Cell biology and Neurobiology actively participates in all aspects of Anatomy teaching at the Charitè, including macroscopic anatomy, histology, cell and developmental neurobiology and neuroanatomy.

The Institute supports a broad and active research program in neuroscience, with particular emphasis on developmental biology, neurogenetics, neuroimmunology and electrophysiology. We teach students in medicine (different curricula), dentistry, medical neuroscience, molecular medicine, nursing. We also host courses for medical professionals in medicine, dentistry, physical therapie.
